The Student Ministry of FBC La Vernia exists to equip students and families to be rooted in Christ by following Jesus, strengthening each other, serving our community, and giving away the good news that we have received. Our mission is “Making Disciples who Make Disciples."
Then he said to them all: "Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me." (Luke 9:23)
strengthening each other
All the believers were together and had everything in common. They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need. (Acts 2:44-45).
serving our community
"...whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me." (Matthew 25:40)
giving it all away
Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." (Matthew 28:18-20).

To kick off the new school year we will be partnering with other area churches to host a Community-wide Back to School Bash. We believe we will have the unique opportunity to connect with new students and encourage them to get plugged into a church somewhere they can know Christ and grow in him.
This event will be held on August 21 in the City Park. There will not be any regular youth activities at FBCLV that evening. If you are willing and able to volunteer in some way for this event please contact pastor Jon.
